ROSE TATTOO FRONTMAN ANGRY ANDERSON ON AIRBOURNE!
In an interview with Dirty Rock Magazine, Angry Anderson of the legendary band Rose Tattoo had this to say when asked, "Any bands these days that carry on the Aussie rock traditions?"
"AIRBOURNE. They're carving it up. The last couple of years, after last year we toured most of the year because we were trying to break our latest album and after last year I said I don't want to do it anymore I'll give it away. But we did a summer run with them last year and it was a lot of fun then they went to America and we came home. I said, OK, we'll go back and do the summer run of festivals this year. So we went back and they were back in Europe for the summer run too and they were creamin' it. And they're just going from strength to strength which is really good. It's a good thing that in the last days, I mean, we've done 32 years as a band and you know, you'd like to think you could hand the flag to someone that's worthy of carrying it."

WRESTLING, AUSTRALIANS...AWESOME!
MetalInjection.net posted their interview with Airbourne a little while back and forgot to tell us! In this video you'll hear about recording a theme song for the WWE, opening for the Rolling Stones, and, of course, BEER!
NEW SITE CHANGES!
You may have noticed that over the past few months quiet changes have been made to the site. First we gave you new artist pages. Check out your favorite and you'll find widgets, videos, music, and much more. Plus they look great.
A few weeks back we also updated our Artists page. You'll see highlighted artists up top in blue. These change as artists are updated with news, video, and music. This is a great page to make your first port-of-call after the news section!
Today we've relaunched three other pages. Music and Video are all new. You can now embed all of our music and video posted to the site in your blog, web site, or MySpace/Facebook profiles. At the right of these pages you'll see charts driven by what YOU do on our site. You can also leave comments at all songs and videos, rate them, and favorite them in our new profile system (more on that in a sec).
The Releases page has gotten a huge makeover. Every album now has its own home page where you can see the available tracks, rate it, leave a review, or comment on others' reviews. Snazzy huh?
Finally, we just launched our new profile pages. If you're a subscriber to our email newsletters, you can log in, add your own picture, keep track of the latest updates on our site (and partner sites), follow your favorite videos and music, and tell us what bands you want to hear about.
Of course, many of these new features require that you be a member of the site to use them, so please join today!
We are, of course, in a beta phase and need your help to make the site work the best for YOU. If you see any problems or want to suggest changes to the new features, please send an email to webmaster@roadrunnerrecords.com with "NEW SITE REPORT" in the subject line. If you receive an error, please be as detailed as possible, including what page you were on, what browser you are using, and copy any error message you receive into the body of the email.
Please feel free to leave comments here below!
Cheers!

STRIPPERS + JAGER = MAYHEM GALORE
Heff, Roadrunner's Stream Team extraordinaire, has been keeping us informed at Mayhem Festival where Slipknot, DragonForce, Machine Head, and Airbourne are performing.
Report # 2:
"For the past week we have been trekking through California and I have never felt more welcomed. Night after night, the crowd has been intense and ready to rock.
Take for example one lucky woman who jumped on stage and started to strip to Airbourne's anthem to women "Girls In Black". "We always encourage women to dance on stage, and feel free to loose their clothes. It's all about women and rock and roll," says Airbourne's guitarist David Roads.

The band was so appreciative they gave her a nice bottle of Jager.

If you don't think that is rock and roll enough take a look at lead singer Joel O'Keeffe who ran out into the crowd while playing his solo for "Cheap Wine".
This is one band you should not miss. How could you? They have everything: Hot women, booze and fucking rock and roll. Check here to see when they are playing in your city.
By the way, like the guitar Joel is using? Sign up for our Annual Assault Digital Sampler (which includes new and unreleased music from Slipknot, Dream Theater, Airbourne, Trivium, DragonForce Killswitch Engage and more) at the Roadrunner Records tent, and have a chance to win a Gibson SG autographed by Airbourne plus other prizes including upgraded PIT tickets for that night's show and a chance to meet DragonForce.
See you this weekend in Phoenix, Albuquerque and Denver!

1. ERIC SAID...
I know I'm up here talking a lot of shit, and I truly don't mean disrespect, just bored at work. But what happened to the old Roadrunner label? It used to be so fuckin awesome with a lot of my favorite (and best) bands. Who made the decision to start fucking it up by signing shit ass bands? Not even a metal label anymore........
